Sabine Timoteo, born on 25 March 1975 in Bern, is a Swiss actress originally trained as a ballet dancer. After studying dance from 1991-1993 at the Swiss Ballet Professional School, she worked briefly at the Deutsche Oper in Düsseldorf before shifting toward contemporary dance and then acting. Her film debut came in L’amour, l’argent, l’amour (2000), winning the Bronze Leopard at Locarno and a Swiss Best Actress award. She’s known for intense roles in films like Die Mitte der Welt, Nebenwirkungen, and Driften. Sabine lives in Bern, is mother of two, and speaks several languages.
