Pamela Susan Shoop is an American character actress recognized for scene‑stealing turns across Glen A. Larson TV classics and for playing Nurse Karen Bailey in *Halloween II* (1981). On television she turned up in the pilots of *Knight Rider* (“Knight of the Phoenix”) and *Magnum, P.I.*, starred as Alison MacKenzie Tate on *Return to Peyton Place*, and appeared in *Galactica 1980*, *The Mod Squad*, *Wonder Woman*, *The Incredible Hulk*, *Simon & Simon*, *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century*, *B. J. and the Bear*, and *Murder, She Wrote*. The daughter of actress Julie Bishop and Major General Clarence A. Shoop, she later married former Jesuit priest Terrance Sweeney; together they wrote the memoir *What God Hath Joined*.
