Irene Azuela Suárez, born October 27, 1979 in London, England, is a Mexican actress and producer. She began her acting career in 2000 with TV Azteca in telenovelas such as Todo por Amor, Amores… querer con alevosía and La otra mitad del sol. Her film debut came in 2007 with El búfalo de la noche, and she won the Ariel Award for Best Actress in 2008 for Quemar las Naves and again for Bajo la Sal. Irene has also worked in theatre (plays like La Gaviota, Salomé) and produced the series Paramédicos. She has a daughter, born in 2015, with Enrique “Quique” Rangel, whom she married in 2017.
