Elisabeth Niedereder, born on October 3, 1985, in Schwaz, Tyrol, is a former Austrian middle-distance runner who specialized in the 400 m, 800 m, and 1500 m events. Between 2000 and 2014, she claimed 26 Austrian national titles across those distances. Her personal bests include 56.37 s for 400 m (2010) and 2:06.93 min for 800 m (2011). She represented Austria nine times at the European Team Championships, achieving a third-place finish in the 800 m in 2008. Retiring from professional athletics in 2015, Niedereder transitioned into sports science and clinical nutrition after studying those fields. Since 2010, she has been coaching endurance athletes and founded her own sports science institute in Vienna. As an amateur, she resumed running in 2019, taking on marathons and ultramarathons—including a bronze in the team ranking at the 50 km Ultra World Championships in Romania.
