Veronica Maria Cäcilia Ferres, born on 10 June 1965 in Solingen, is a German actress and producer whose career began in the mid-1980s and remains active today. She studied German Literature, Drama, and Psychology at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich before turning to acting school and theatre work. Her breakthrough came with Schtonk! (1992) and the comedy Das Superweib (‘The Superwife’), after which she became one of Germany’s most prominent lead actresses. Ferres has also starred in international films and co-founded her own production company.
