Pia Merete Tjelta, born on September 12, 1977, in Stavanger, Norway, is a renowned Norwegian actress. She made her film debut in 2001 with the romantic comedy Mongoland. After taking a maternity leave, she graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 2006. Tjelta has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including Mars & Venus, 90 Minutes, Blindsone, and Made in Oslo. Her performance in Blindsone earned her the Amanda Award for Best Actress in 2019. In addition to her screen work, she has been active in theater, performing at Det Norske Teatret and Oslo Nye Teater. Tjelta has also ventured into fashion, collaborating with designer Tine Mollatt in 2014 to launch a dress collection.
