Bellamy Young, Born on February 19, 1970, in Asheville, North Carolina, is an American actress and singer. After studying at Yale University, she began her career on stage before moving to television and film. Young appeared in series such as Scrubs, CSI: Miami, and Criminal Minds, but achieved her breakthrough with the role of Mellie Grant on the political drama Scandal (2012–2018), for which she won a Critics’ Choice Television Award. In addition to acting, she released the album Far Away So Close in 2015.
